Recently we were asked to cater for a large corporate sporting lunch for 1502 guests. The event was held in a rather large marquee supplied by Hanbury Marquees and attended by lots of key local businesses. The main guest and attraction was the England rugby coach Eddie Jones who was in fine form and received a fabulous reception.

An event of this scale takes a lot of careful planning and a huge amount of resources. The menu featured some beautiful local Worcestershire Asparagus followed by a Spring lamb main course. The lamb cut chosen was some lovely saddle that was stuffed with a fresh mint and lamb farce and served with a fresh mint and shallot sauce. The dessert again thanks to the excellent weather featured some lovely English strawberries with Chantilly cream and was followed by and English cheese course.

Executing the event involved three of our custom built mobile kitchens in addition to a field kitchen and two 7.5 ton fridge trucks. A team of 14 in the kitchen were assisted by what felt like an army of Plyvine staff when they were all lined up for their briefing!

The event was a resounding success and we received many positive comments from the guests. This was the largest sit down meal Plyvine have undertaken, the second biggest being 1300 in Milton Keynes. A great sense of satisfaction after the event and pride in the Plyvine team!
